prints

this is a series of prints i made before moving towards sculpture. printmaking was my module choice last year so i spent most of the time in the print room, working on screen prints. screen printing can be a little tricky at the beginning as the whole procedure requires know-how,precision and CLEAN hands. Once you get the hang of it, its fairly easy and extremely efficient, and thats what i loved about it. If the work station is well organised and clean, it allows you to produce a large amount of individual prints that are all hand-made. I personally find digital prints quite boring. they are flat and have no errors. A screen print has a bleed line, grain, texture and tells a story of craft, just like a brush stroke.
